Masindi Miracle Center onboard with Westlink

Friends, only God can reward your petience and faithfulness in staying tune to this blog as i asked you to, in my last post. You are a wonderful and uncommon people!
In my previous update i told you about how warm and hospitable Donald’s father and his family were to us, and that God has chosen this particular family to serve Him. I didn’t mention however that a number of people in this family do not yet know Christ including Mr. Charles Kamese himself and Dona’s step mother. This is another opportunity for you to pray with us in placing a demand on each and every single soul in that family not perish.
Acts 16:31 is precise and clear; we have a promise that on the account of our faith in Jesus Christ, we shall be saved and our households too. Amen! The Greek word for “household” includes everybody in our lives; brethren, parents, relatives and all kindred, as well as our neighbors, friends, school-days friends & classmates and just about everybody… not forgetting our enemies.
I also told you that Donald and I were to meet with Pastor Robert Kibuuka of Miracle Centre Masindi about prospects of evangelistic activities in the area. Well, am glad to announce that this trip has been worth every turning of the bus’s wheel. The dates have already been set for a 10th – 15th March event in the town of Bweyale, about 20mins drive from Masindi town. Pastor Kibuka has agreed to work with Westlink Evangelism Project to organize this event.
We were amazed to learn that Christians in Masindi have been praying and crying out to God to send workers for the bountiful harvest in the district. There also is a widespread resolve for evangelism as believers are praying for God to give them their communities, villages and trading centers. In fact Pastor Kibuka and Masindi Miracle Center are doing a crusade in neighboring Hoima district. It’s important that we join our faith and believe with them for maximum impact that people will respond in large numbers to receive Christ.

Prayer requests:
1. Pray for the Salvation of Donald’s family members
2. Pray for Pastor Kibuka’s upcoming crusade in Hoima due next week.
3. Pray for Donald stay here in Uganda and his trip to England in less than 2weeks and the meetings and presentations that he will be conducting in the UK, before lifting off back to Mexico.
4. Pray for my family

See here for my next trip (to Rukunjiri) due on the 14th this month

Masindi are you Ready?

.
Guys, are you still with moi?
The last time I checked, I had asked you to stay tuned! We are still in Masindi and guys; what a beautiful place it is here! The people are so friendly, warm and welcoming. In fact you never feel like a stranger here except by choice. And being a missionary, that’s one choice you don’t want to make!
Honestly, besides the warm hospitality and the food, the Kamese’s are a great and loving family. And talking about heritage, this family has a kind that is only by divine orchestration. You heard of men of God like Pastor Godfrey Kamese in Kampala? And Joshua Magezi of Kibuli Miracle Centre? Well, this is where they and other servants of God including McDonald hail from. In fact, its no longer a surprise to me that Donald has been entrusted with a huge call to minister God's love in a far country in the Americas. Boy he is only 23 and has been in ministry the last six years, planting churches in the nations and going around the world. He speaks 3 fluent international languages; English, Spanish, French & Swa; as in Swahil or as the Baganda say Swahili. I mean he is not only fluent in those langauges, but alo has a take on Garman. And something else. Did i say Luganda also? Well, yeah, Lugand also, except for the funniest thing: he can't make one short sentence in in Runyoro (his native). I told him to work hard on that one too, because he cant even buy his favorite delicacy - ROLEX (Chapati with roled egges). Dona as we all call him also ministers prophetically with his Guitor, ushering congregaions into the throne room of God. Not suprising, most of his worshiping is in spanish.

But anyhow, Dona and I lived together one year on Sir Apolo Kagwa Road before he relocated to the United Kingdom in 2001. He used to go to High Way College Makerere, and was peers then with today's gospel maestro Wilson Bugemeb. In fact he is one of Bugembe's pioneer buliga (student converts) at that school, about two years after Bugembe had been enroled from street life. Donald was so much on fire for God and like I usually say, ‘the things of God’ when he had just received Christ and he still is. While in college in East Sussex, Donald and I kept in touch, in fact throughout his five-year stay in the UK.
And among all the incredible things I have made note of this young mighty man of God is that from the day he boarded the salvation bus, Donald has not reminisced about the Egyptian cucumber. Not once, not twice. Nononono! Never! In fact his friends know him as Mr. No Nonsense. As in to him; there is no such a thing as black or white. No way! Everything is either Black OR White when it comes to life and the reality of life!
This is one guy who lost evrything to gain Christ, and he is not about to look back for anything in the world. His passion and spiritual insight is such fiery that if you are a lukewarm believer, you won’t find chance for compromise if you are around him.
What am trying to say is “what a privilege to spend a few days of his short stay in Uganda with such an anointed man of God! In fact Donald made some profound statement the other day when he said that he is the only Christian without an enemy. People this has left me thinkin’! I mean REALLY thinkin. And when I asked “how about the devil?” he said “the devil is God’s enemy, not mine. I just happen to be on God’s side”
Wow! And by the way this is a mere statement of faith only to you!!! This guy lives it and so do I, now that further enlighten!!! How about that?

Anyhow catch you kesho (tomrrow). Its 11pm here at the Kamese’s and everybody seems to heading for the nearest bedroom, and ther's John guy waiting to take us to the Guest wing. So, catch you again soon. And don't forget tomorroe we will be meeting with Pastor Robert Kibuka of Miracle Centre Masindi and other leaders. otherwise, I’ll be letting you in on how everythinf will go.

Remember LOVERULES and that JESUS IS ON THE WAY BACK TO TAKE HIS CHOSEN!!!

Only 3 Days into the New Year & on the Road alraedy

Friends, Its good to know that you all have made it into 2009. Only three days into the New Year and we at Westlink are already on the road to the great town of Masindi. And travelling 2 by 2 on these trips as usual, this time am with my brother McDonald Kamese of Love is King Ministries in Mexico. For Donald, it has been two years since his last visit to Uganda. And so this is a one-stone-hitting two birds for him as we will also be visiting his paternal family in Kihande, about 1km from Masindi town. Actually we plan to camp at Kihande during our work-stay in Masindi.
Something about Masindi though; as we enter through Hoima district, i was welcomed by a sudden chill of a sleeping legacy. An infallible ancestral heritage, and if you have read a little Ugandan history, you certainly know something about ancient Bunyoro. In fact, you may not see the Statue of The Great Omukama (King) Kabalega, and neither the ruins of the great historic wars that took place here, but the traditional winds of legacy will surely whisper in your heart as if you were on an excursion trip to help the textbook tales on the traditional wealth of Bunyoro. The people of Masindi are called Banyoro. The Banyoro also occupy the district Hoima, Bugangaizi, part of Bulisa, Kibale and Kitagwenda.
Anyhow, I will save you the history! We are in Masindi to as part of our initial activities to meet and connect with regional local pastors and leaders as we shall be doing in the various other districts after here. No major contact yet, but we hope that by the time we are done here, we will have not got major contacts, but rathe we’ll have met several of the pastors and discussed about and scheduled some of the major events we are looking forward to hold in the first quarter of 2009.
Just you just don’t click next (wherever) and by the time you get there I will have posted updates on what may have transpired on this trip.
Otherwise stay tuned and God bless.
We are getting off the bus now, but first we have to find an internet café so I can post this update before we head for Kihande!

LOVERULES and don’t forget that JESUS IS ON THE WAY BACK TO TAKE HIS CHOSEN!!!
