Ministry Goals and Projects for 2009

.

Our working model for 2009 is to stage a platform for the gospel to be preached. We are inviting mission teams from other areas outside the region to come and do outreach in villages and towns we are prayerfully selecting and mobilizing.

Reaching 1 million people - Western Uganda is made up of up to 7 million people. And this year alone, it is our ultimate goal to reach over 1 million of them across the region. This will possibly be achieved through a range of ministry programs and on-ground community projects.

Crusades - we are planning for 20 crusades (at least one in each district), and as many new converts seminars and about 100 Jesus film shows (one daily at the end of each crusade).

Exclusive Jesus Film Outreach - We intend to do at least one (5-day) trip very two months. We send a team of two leaders with the projector and generator to show Jesus film (The Passion of Christ)
in five different villages within the same sub county. That is one night in each location. It involves working with local churches to provide ushers to administer alter call responses and follow up ministry. It also involves praying for the sick and with those who want special ministry.
Budgets for every (5-day) trip is $250 (500,000/=) for projector hire, transport/accommodation/feeding of the 2-man team; transport of equipment & gear; airtime for the team. Transport involves (from k’la to a destination district, as well as boda boda expenses of moving from one location to another).

Mobile bible school – we are graced to partner with individual bible teachers and conference speakers from established ministries in Kampala, with whom we are working around the clock to knit a 3-week Christian Empowerment Course that we will run in a model of a mobile School of Christian Leadership. In this model, local church (leaders & believers) in a radius of 5km and beyond will congregate in a central place to participate. Gifted speakers and anointed teachers of the word take part in conducting this course; to equip and empower local believers in these ragged times. The course will also help to train and equip believers to reach their communities and beyond in effective evangelism. See course topics.
Local churches Guest speakers program – this is a program where village churches receive guest speakers from Kampala and other places to teach on a range of topics, to encourage and to empower local believers in their Christian walk and responsibility especially in these end times.

Acquisitions - field /crusade and studio equipment – budgets become extremely high when we have to hire everything from crusade equipment, projectors, generators and vans for transporting the teams. Usually we share these costs with the mission teams. In order to cut down the budgets operate more effectively we are committed to raising resources to acquire and own the equipment.

Develop and established an essentially Partnership Base – friends, the truth as we have had to learn it through experience is that there cannot be effective evangelism in the 21st century in the absence of human, technical and financial resources. People question how operate without partners. As a matter of fact it is not about money or finances, but we are grateful to people that have committed themselves to working with us on this project. But 6 months ago the Lord began to challenge us to believe Him for 1000 partners in 2009 regardless of the apparent crumbling global economy. We hope that you understand that God has a plan for the church in these end times, especially those that endure in the faith of His promises. It’s also your call to consider coming onboard to support the ministry of evangelism, and take part in that which God is doing in this season. I can assure you my friends in these days it is obvious that God’s heart is more with his people that are yet to be reached. The 100th sheep, and not with the 99 that are in the church.

Acquire office space – all this time we have been operating from our residence in Bukoto. And now we feel that as operations are broadening and ministry growing, it’s time for us to acquire a formal office in a more central place. This is vital as we have come to a level where we are now dealing with people at various levels; partners and leaders.

Christian Focused Media Initiative (CFMI) - Media is a key avenue to evangelism in these 21st century days. And with the existing regional community radio infrastructure, we have the opportunity to bring Christian programming aboard the main stream media ... read on

NGO status – we also are working around the clock to become a fully registered Christian interdenominational NGO structured with several CBOs. We plan to accomplish this by the month of July 2009.
