JANUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER

FRIENDS,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and in faith. Am sure you are upbeat about what you have set yourself in agreement with God to accomplish this year. I also pray that your expectations for 2009 are much bigger than what you can actually believe for. Hopefully this is highlighted on your golden list of resolutions and goals for the next dozen months. I pledge to be your partner in faith so that come 1st January next year every single item on your faith list will eventfully feature in your archive of accomplishments. My wife and I and the rest of the team at Westlink Evangelism Project are committing ourselves to take time off every week to pray for you our friends and partners throughout the year. Hopefully you will do your part in excising your faith to work harder towards your goals, knowing that somebody is standing in agreement with you concerning that which you make mention of to God (Mathew 18:19). So please guard your heart\ that you will not weaver o lose focus in the course of time. AMEN!

IN FULL TIME MINISTRY NOW
As I mentioned in previous newsletters that I was going fulltime into this ministry at the beginning of 2009, I have been very much in preparation and in faith. Apparently there is so much to do and the ministry is increasingly demanding of my time and resourcefulness. There is no doubt that this timely decision is essential and seasoned for now, and like I have said before; I AM READY! I just don’t have time for anything else anymore; Many people in Western Uganda never have heard of the love of Jesus except for the abundance of religion, witchcraft and paganism. Jesus Himself said that "the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." He tells His people to go (Matthew 28:19).

IN THIS ISSUE:
I have the opportunity to take you through our ministry Goals, plans, projects and working objectives for 2009, as well as a brief take on 2008 highlights and what is expected of you and us in the light of evangelism.

Highlights from 2008:
We are grateful to God for the partnerships we had with other ministries to hold 5 events in 2008....

2009 Ministry Goals, and Objectives:

Christian Focused Media Initiative (CFMI)

.

Christian Focused Media Initiative (CFMI) -
Media is increasingly taking to the centre stage as a 21st century tool of evangelism. At The Project the idea is to explore and engage every techinolgical avenue in clear casting this Gospel to emerge as the loudest message in this end time season. The existing media infrastructure in the region (over 100 radio netwroks and community staions) presents plenty of Christain brodacsting opportunities; to enhance family values and bring to life biblical principles in a way that is not condemning, yet revealing the truth of God’s Word as it applies to contemporary living. We believe that through practical, spiritual and appealing radio programming
children, youths, and adults will be reached much easier thruogh the media forum than through any other formats. When Christ is lifted on the media platform, He surely will draw all men unto himself; to save souls and bring healing and deliverance to audiences across the whole region.
Our take is on designing and producing in local languages; Radio dramas , skits, radio sitcoms, local christen documentaries and evangelical programming that enhance and promote family and communal values to convey practical insights for
living in these end time days.
We also have in mind Child-oriented programming that will consist of children bible stories and educational dramas that will teach biblical & practical everyday truth that children need to learn in order to function in society.
Please pray and be apart of this project so that together we can further the Kingdom of God. Now is the only time we have.

It Shall not come Nigh thee

Become a partner with this ministry

Friends
I personally request you to consider becoming a partner with this ministry. It is people who love God and are committed to the furthrence of His Kingdom that make it possible for the gospel to rech the uttmost ends of the earth communities.

Roman 10:13-17
13 For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’
14 But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? 15And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’ 16But not all have obeyed the good news;* for Isaiah says, ‘Lord, who has believed our message?’ 17So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

Ministry Goals and Projects for 2009

.

Our working model for 2009 is to stage a platform for the gospel to be preached. We are inviting mission teams from other areas outside the region to come and do outreach in villages and towns we are prayerfully selecting and mobilizing.

Reaching 1 million people - Western Uganda is made up of up to 7 million people. And this year alone, it is our ultimate goal to reach over 1 million of them across the region. This will possibly be achieved through a range of ministry programs and on-ground community projects.

Crusades - we are planning for 20 crusades (at least one in each district), and as many new converts seminars and about 100 Jesus film shows (one daily at the end of each crusade).

Exclusive Jesus Film Outreach - We intend to do at least one (5-day) trip very two months. We send a team of two leaders with the projector and generator to show Jesus film (The Passion of Christ)
in five different villages within the same sub county. That is one night in each location. It involves working with local churches to provide ushers to administer alter call responses and follow up ministry. It also involves praying for the sick and with those who want special ministry.
Budgets for every (5-day) trip is $250 (500,000/=) for projector hire, transport/accommodation/feeding of the 2-man team; transport of equipment & gear; airtime for the team. Transport involves (from k’la to a destination district, as well as boda boda expenses of moving from one location to another).

Mobile bible school – we are graced to partner with individual bible teachers and conference speakers from established ministries in Kampala, with whom we are working around the clock to knit a 3-week Christian Empowerment Course that we will run in a model of a mobile School of Christian Leadership. In this model, local church (leaders & believers) in a radius of 5km and beyond will congregate in a central place to participate. Gifted speakers and anointed teachers of the word take part in conducting this course; to equip and empower local believers in these ragged times. The course will also help to train and equip believers to reach their communities and beyond in effective evangelism. See course topics.
Local churches Guest speakers program – this is a program where village churches receive guest speakers from Kampala and other places to teach on a range of topics, to encourage and to empower local believers in their Christian walk and responsibility especially in these end times.

Acquisitions - field /crusade and studio equipment – budgets become extremely high when we have to hire everything from crusade equipment, projectors, generators and vans for transporting the teams. Usually we share these costs with the mission teams. In order to cut down the budgets operate more effectively we are committed to raising resources to acquire and own the equipment.

Develop and established an essentially Partnership Base – friends, the truth as we have had to learn it through experience is that there cannot be effective evangelism in the 21st century in the absence of human, technical and financial resources. People question how operate without partners. As a matter of fact it is not about money or finances, but we are grateful to people that have committed themselves to working with us on this project. But 6 months ago the Lord began to challenge us to believe Him for 1000 partners in 2009 regardless of the apparent crumbling global economy. We hope that you understand that God has a plan for the church in these end times, especially those that endure in the faith of His promises. It’s also your call to consider coming onboard to support the ministry of evangelism, and take part in that which God is doing in this season. I can assure you my friends in these days it is obvious that God’s heart is more with his people that are yet to be reached. The 100th sheep, and not with the 99 that are in the church.

Acquire office space – all this time we have been operating from our residence in Bukoto. And now we feel that as operations are broadening and ministry growing, it’s time for us to acquire a formal office in a more central place. This is vital as we have come to a level where we are now dealing with people at various levels; partners and leaders.

Christian Focused Media Initiative (CFMI) - Media is a key avenue to evangelism in these 21st century days. And with the existing regional community radio infrastructure, we have the opportunity to bring Christian programming aboard the main stream media ... read on

NGO status – we also are working around the clock to become a fully registered Christian interdenominational NGO structured with several CBOs. We plan to accomplish this by the month of July 2009.
