The Kyankaramata confrence was massive. And as usual we were outfaithed, but God was gracious. Eight local churches collectively hosted the 5-day event that had leaders and believers come from all over the district and beyond to take part. Seventy four participants reported on day one. 211 leaders plus host church members had signed attendence by Saturday .

Leaders were equiped with tools relevant for growth and excellence in their Christian life and ministry. Six speakers came from Kampala, Fort Portal and Mbararra.

Mighty worksGod glorified Himself through mighty works as many participants were baptized and fillled with the Holy spirit and spoke in other tougues for the first time. Many pastors who were skeptic about the whole subject of spiritual baptsim and the gift of speaking in other toungues were ambushed by the Holy Spirit. They too received this precious gift and praised God for the confrence. The Speakers also ministered wonderfull in both word of knowledge and of wisdom to encourage and edify God's ministers. Most locals had never seen anything like it.

Miracles of healing begun sponteneously when a lady pastor from Rwamwanja in Kamwenge district recieved sight in her left eye which had been blind for over 25 years. Pastor Sanyu who was speaking in that afternoon session allowed The Holy Spirit to proceed as we all sponteniously begun to sing praises and to worship God. Many people received healing from varuious ailments and many more were baptized in the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other toungues. 23 leaders and pastors spoke in toungues for the first time that afternoon.

The Pork party & Praise Overnight
There was this ridiculous saturday night pork party and Praise overnight idea that only came as a joke. Keneth and Host pastor; Mijumbithe were devising an uncommonl way of closing the event. and so they secretly went to work on suprizing all of us. Non of us had ever experienced anything like that. We dont know how they mobilised but the they managed to secure nine pigs and four goats. Tthe bigenderako assortment was just super. My worry was whether we would ever get to eat so much roast. By the time i returned from Fortpaortal they had hired sound gear from Kyenjojo. The night was Kingdom atmosphere. The eating, the Praise and worship in local languages. Villagers aslo got watch some of their favorite gospel artists on projector for the first time. Non belivers and hundrends of residents joined the party, with 47 adults among whom was a fierce witch recieving Christ.

Resistance and Warfare
On his way back to fortportal after speaking in the confrence on Wensiday night, the car in which Pastor Jushua Muganwa was trvelling had a slight brush with a Tatta lorry heavily loaded with timber. By God's grace all the passengers servived, and the man of God suffered minor injuries and was discharged from hospital on thursday. He was back on his feet when i went to see him on saturday!

It was two thin days between kibale and Kyankaramat. Actually the team literally connected from the former to the later event grouds! This was our first crusade of 2009, and this time around we partinered with Kabarole Christian Fellowship to do this event. Pastor Mwanguhya (KCF) preached alongside Rev. Mary Nakanjago of Saints Gate Katwe. As usual we mobilised local-arae churches under their umbrella "Kibale Felloship of Born Agin Churches".
A rough estimate suggests that over 300 adults plus hudreds of children responded to the alter call over the four days. A man who had been mad (insane) for most of his life is walking free as we speak now.
He showed up on the crusade ground on day two of the event and miraculously received his mirracle. "Mukandoli has been insane for as long as most of us in town remember," one non-beleiever woman said with tears in her eyes, "this a miracle for all of us and not for Mukandoli alone". Many other people recieved healing from feavers, headaches, stomach problems and others. A boy who had abroken leg was caried to the crusade ground but walked back home by himself. The Lord used Pastor Mwanguhya in mighty power and many people responded. As alway, we did two desciplship seminars. So many belivers also turned up for baptism. All in all, our prepeartion and follow up program was much broader; thanks to Keneth and his upfront team. Next week it is Bulisa (24th March)!

March Newsletter

Team news
Meanwhile you should have seen the glow on everybody's face at the news of Monica's return from her honey moon. Apparently she is officially to be unveiled at her new reisdence in Bunamuwaya next weekend when we return from Bulisa. She and Mark will use this time to unpack and unwrap their gifts and fix the new house. And so we are sure about onething next weekend: roast and roast and more roast !!!

Family news
This week offered a window of opportunity to hang with my family. Violet too had time off to rest and catchup with her friends and realatives. So baby-seating would be my trade all week, and some how i managed to strike a balance between me and my boys and with my wife. And since we have been talking about initiating swimming, I thought monday would be great to take them to Nina Childrens center. Tuesiday we took Giggi for his footbal training with Kampala Junior League (KJL) at Kira ground He is picking so fast after three months since he enrolled. It was wonderfull to watch him play. Wednesday Violet and i went to church for the midweek service. Thursiday Vi and i went for steem birth and had a wonderfull evenning. We got home late. On Friday we spent all day in fellowship with the team to refresh and refocus in th presence of God, as well as to pray and intercede for friends and partners. I havent visted my parents in along time so i thought saturday was ideal. We all went and home was full house as some other relatives too had come to see the old people. Except the old man was out of the country on official duty to Asia. Otherwise we ate together talked, shared and prayed and the kids played with their cousines. I must say, it was refreshing to spend a whole saturday with family and friends! Sunday is always agreat time at church. We also got to meet some of our pastors on a personal level, and more friends before going home for lunch and to rest. Meanwhile i also got to watch lots of catoons with boys during the week!
