MARCH 2009 NEWSLETTER

Praise the Lord peopel of God,
Violet and I greet you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ; thanking God always for your prayers and support!
March kicked off with a bang with one event after another; right from Kyankaramata (Kyenjojo) on the 2nd to 7th, steadfastly mentaining momentum through Kakumiro (Kibale) two days later and now Bulisa this week! Well; "How beautifull are the feet of them that bring the good news".

The Kyankaramata confrence was massive. And as usual we were outfaithed, but God was gracious. Eight local churches collectively hosted the 5-day event that had leaders and believers come from all over the district and beyond to take part. Seventy four participants reported on day one. 211 leaders plus host church members had signed attendence by Saturday.
Leaders were equiped with tools relevant for growth and excellence in their Christian life and ministry. Six speakers came from Kampala, Fort Portal and Mbararra.
Mighty works
God glorified Himself through mighty works as many participants were baptized and fillled with the Holy spirit and spoke in other tougues for the first time. Many pastors who were skeptic about the whole subject of spiritual baptsim and the gift of speaking in other toungues were ambushed by the Holy Spirit. They too received this precious gift and praised God for the confrence. The Speakers also ministered wonderfull in both word of knowledge and of wisdom to encourage and edify ...(read on)
It was two thin days between kibale and Kyankaramat. Actually the team literally connected from the former to the later event grouds! This was our first crusade of 2009, and this time around we partinered with Kabarole Christian Fellowship to do this event. Pastor Mwanguhya (KCF) preached alongside Rev. Mary Nakanjago of Saints
Gate Katwe. As usual we mobilised local-arae churches under their umbrella "Kibale Felloship of Born Agin Churches". A rough estimate suggests that over 300 adults plus hudreds of children responded to the alter call over the four days. A man who had been mad (insane) for most of his life is walking free as we speak now...(read more)
After Kyankaramata, the team has had 3 to 4 days to rest perhaps until we meet again on friday for prayer and felowship. We shall also be focussing on Bulisa which is due next week (24th), and to pray for our families, partners and friends. Keneth and Tim however leave for Bulisa on Saturdy a head of the team that will join them on Tuesiday. They will be doing final touches on things in Bulisa beforehand. Personally i will join the team on Wesnedy. I have two meetings; one on tuesiday with a section of partners, and another equally important one on wednesiday. This willl also be borrowed time for me to ensure that this newsletter is posted before i go to Bulisa.
After Bulisa the team will have plenty of time to rest until Rwibale (14th April) in Kabarole. As for me, i will be leading a three-man team to Kanungu on 3rd April for three working days in connection with the June event with Rachel Ministries. Gilbert (Mulago Paramedical School) and the missions coordinator Racheal Ministries and i will be meeting with local arae pastors and politicians at various levels in three maor towns; Kanungu, Kihihi and Butogot (Bwindi). Each one of us is also scheduled to speack in diffrent chrches on Sundy 5th morning, before doing a radio talk show mainly about the June event in the district. This trip is a major coordination act to set mobilisations rolling towards June-Kanungu! We need you prayers and support without which it is not possible to accomplish much!

You should have seen the glow on everybody's face at the news of Monica's return from her honey moon. Apparently she is officially to be unveiled at her new reisdence in Bunamuwaya next weekend when we return from Bulisa. She and Mark will use this time to unpack and unwrap their gifts and fix the new house. And so we are sure about onething next weekend: roast and roast and more roast !!!
Family news
This week offered a window of opportunity to hang with my family. Violet too had time off to rest and catchup with her friends and realatives. So baby-seating would be my trade all week, and some how i managed to strike a balance between me and my boys and with my wife. And since we have been talking about initiating swimming, I thought monday would be great to take them to Nina Childrens center. Tuesiday we took Giggi for his footbal training with Kampala Junior League (KJL) at Kira ground He is picking so fast after three months since he enrolled. It was wonderfull to watch him play.... FEBRUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER

Friends, I greet you once again in Christ Jesus. And if you are receiving our newsletter for the first time, my name is Jim Kirungi; a native missionary to Western Uganda called by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Today the ministry is growing steadfast as we continue to link and network with more ministries, individuals and institutions from all walks of life for the sole purpose of evangelism in this part of the world. Lots of feed back
Folks, am thrilled by the overwhelming feedback we have been receiving through your emails, phone calls and the record breaking visits to our website this February. Your enthusiasm and support has been such an awesome source of encouragement to us especially in this season seeing more of you coming on board to support this project, and to partake of what God is doing in this end time. I have never received so many phone calls from people many of whom I haven’t met personally, appreciating and stamping their support for the work of God in
western Uganda. This thing is at loose folks; there is no stopping to what is about to happen in this part of the world! Some people have specifically requested to be notified of whatever need there is in the house. To be honest, there is always plenty of need and so shall it continue to be at least for some time! And as such, I humbly implore all of us to stamp our stake and practically come aboard this Kingdom Project so that millions of souls will be reached for Christ. And hey, remember we set apart one-day (Tuesday) every week to pray and stand in faith with our friends and partners concerning that which you are personally believing God for in 2009. And so it shall come to pass that when two people are in agrement concerning anything here on earth, it shall be done by the Father in Heaven!
Mobile School of Ministry
The first two months of the year have been a time of breathtaking hard work; thank God for Grace. It hasn’t been easy, but we have managed to lay plenty of ground for most of what we are going to be doing in the course of the year. I have had to do a spirited run of trips to about eight districts right from three days into the new year,
linking and networking with pastors and local leaders for our upcoming events in those areas. Actual events begin in March with our first conference of the year due next week. This 5-day event to be held in a place called Kyanakaramata, about 20kms from
Kyenjojo town on the 2nd to the 7th of March will be a litmus taste of what we have in mind for the Mobile School of Ministry in order to come up with an appropriate and realistic design for the project. The tutor team is taking care of its transport budgets, while the host church will ensure their welfare which includes feeding and accommodation. Three to five area-churches are collectively taking part, and I must say they are very upbeat.
Kibale Crusade (10th – 15th March) Shortly after conference we will be heading to Kakumiro in Kibale district for our first crusade event, in which we are partnering with Kbarole Christian Felloship and the local area churches and the district council of Born Again churches we expect over 5000 people to be reached in that event.

Remember the Kibwetere inferno of 2002 in which several hundred followers were torched alive in Kanungu and other parts of Uganda? Well, we see God revisiting his people in this newly created district, and this time round in an unprecedented fashion.....Read on
Inside news (about Team members)
Sister Monica Kajoina as we all know her had everything going her way two weeks ago, apparently earning another name to herself. There is no doubt her wedding to long time Irish journalist boyfriend Mark was nothing less than glorious! Frankly speaking however, things are not the same here with people like Monica absent on the team for a couple of weeks while she is away on her honey moon. We all can’t wait for her to return, except that mid March is literally forever!
Meanwhile passionate Humphrey Mujizi & Kenneth Byarunhanga on the other hand continue to be generous with their time and resourcefulness to The Project as they unsuspectingly plunge further into the system on a more like fulltime arrangement! Kenneth and I have a history stretching
back to those Campus days in 2006 when we first worked together in the Faculty of Arts students Fellowship. It was then that I first shared this vision with him. He recently came onboard fulltime with us until hopefully he lands a carrier job. So I think it would be good a thing that we all join our faith to believe with him in that regard. AMEN? I have travelled with him on most of the trips this year, and hey this guy is enjoying every bit of it. He raises his own funds for the trips and honestly, he is such a plus to the team. He also knows a friend who has a projector that we can hire much more cheaply. It also turns out that Humphrey has a broader shoulder for field coordination than the rest of us on the team, and apparently more and more responsibility is flowing his way in that regard. PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR TEAM. These guys are amazingly sold out!

Violet is letting up more and more active duty on The Project with the boys getting bigger at home. Talk about parrenting being forever key for us. Giggi (Christian )has become more proficient in his sworn trade of getting to the core of every functioning toy just to come face to face with the technology behind the animations of these gadgets. He also can’t wait to get to his 3rd Birth day where apparently his first bike officially awaits him on 22nd May. Zion on the other hand is not a guy for gadgets. Except; I don’t know a human being as animated as this young man! He made one year just last week, and Zizu as we all call him at home covers close to 10km on foot a day, and that’s just within the house! He has got an established personality too, as well as a great sense of focus! If you are planning to distract his attention from what he is headed for, chances are you won’t succeed. He also has such an anchored appetite that he will crush two sausages in your face and still grab his much slower elder brother’s stuff. By the end of day he has eaten twice as much as Giggi’s!

God's Restoration Plan for Kanungu

Partners and friends,
Remember the Kibwetere inferno of 2002 in which several hundred followers were torched alive in Kanungu and other parts of Uganda? Well, we see God revisiting his people in this newly created district, and this time round in an unprecedented fashion!
Apparently, Westlink Evangelism Project is blessed to once gain partner with Rachael ministries on a 14-day outreach program coming up in the last week of June 2009.
The Mulago Paramedic school based outreach arm of the institution's Main Christian Union (CU)plans to send a team of Eighty and more committed Holy Ghost-filled; on fire for God and Hungry for Souls medical students from several departments and discplines of the profession.
There will be three crusade grounds; Kanungu town, Kihihi, and Botogota near inpenetrateable Bwindi forest Reserve. Activities will include;
open air crusades; confrences & seminars; Door to door outreach; Hospital ministry; Prison ministry; Health, medical and spiritual counselling; Carrier guidence to schooled youths; HIV/AIDS/Abstainance; Radio shows & evangelism on local comunity radios; Morning Glory and prayer walks; Jesus film project; Jesus match; Community service; etc.
Free medical services will include
Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Dental, Eye clinics Medical clinics & Spiritual clinics. Other outreach activities will include , Health promotion to the community.
morethan 500 patients are expected to b effectively reached by the medical ministry.
I challenge you all to stand with in faith and to suppport raise the budgtes especiialy for the essentail drugs (up to 1,000,000/=).
Our job is to effectively coordinate and mobilize stakeholders and the communities toensure that everybody takes part in this unprecedented event. Westlink’s Kenneth Mugabi will be be the overall coordinator for this event. He is already off to Kanungu on the first of a series of trips to kick start the project, initiate local church networks, meet with local pastors and community leaders, politicians and all relevant stakeholders.
once again i emplore you to pray and support this event. Kanungu is not going to be an easy ground t access. The effcets of Kibwetere are tangible, and undersatdably an established bearracratic structure is in place here and everybody is onguard.
We need a breakthruogh at every level as we prepare. Racheal ministry's Gilbert Birungi and I are scheduled to meet area MP Hon Amama Mbabazi on a host of issues and concersn. So we need everybody's support in this reagrd.

Up date: TRAINERS' TRAINING COURSE

Friends,
We are excited about new connections with C-NET’s Barbara Bailington and her six-man team of friends from Tottenharm Baptist church, coming to conduct a 3-week trainers'Training course with our teams and fellow workers that are reaching the ends of the earth elsewhere in the region for Christ.
Barbara's training brings into place a key piece of the puzzle as we position ourselves to train and equip local Christian in the region to effectively reach their communities. We wouldn’t like anybody aboard our events calendar including members from other independent mission teams we are partnering with in the course of time to miss a session of this 20-day course.

The C-NET team will be working with us on a several other projects for 2 weeks after the course. Barbara’s team arrives in Uganda on July 10th and the school begins on 12th up to 31st July 2009.

We are excited about new connections with C-NET’s Barbara Bailington and her six-man team of friends from Tottenharm Baptist church, coming to conduct a 3-week trainers'Training course with our teams and fellow workers that are reaching the ends of the earth elsewhere in the region for Christ.
Barbara's training brings into place a key piece of the puzzle as we position ourselves to train and equip local Christian in the region to effectively reach their communities. JANUARY 2009 NEWSLETTER
FRIENDS,I hope this newsletter finds you well and in faith. Am sure you are upbeat about what you have set yourself in agreement with God to accomplish this year. I also pray that your expectations for 2009 are much bigger than what you can actually believe for. Hopefully this is highlighted on your golden list of resolutions and goals for the next dozen months. I pledge to be your partner in faith so that come 1st January next year every single item on your faith list will eventfully feature in your archive of accomplishments. My wife and I and the rest of the team at Westlink Evangelism Project are committing ourselves to take time off every week to pray for you our friends and partners throughout the year. Hopefully you will do your part in excising your faith to work harder towards your goals, knowing that somebody is standing in agreement with you concerning that which you make mention of to God (Mathew 18:19). So please guard your heart\ that you will not weaver o lose focus in the course of time. AMEN!
IN FULL TIME MINISTRY NOW
As I mentioned in previous newsletters that I was going fulltime into this ministry at the beginning of 2009, I have been very much in preparation and in faith. Apparently there is so much to do and the ministry is increasingly demanding of my time and resourcefulness. There is no doubt that this timely decision is essential and seasoned for now, and like I have said before; I AM READY! I just don’t have time for anything else anymore; Many people in Western Uganda never have heard of the love of Jesus except for the abundance of religion, witchcraft and paganism. Jesus Himself said that "the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." He tells His people to go (Matthew 28:19).
